Lauren Evans proudly serves mortgage professionals throughout the Southeast, bringing more than two decades of mortgage industry experience and extensive expertise in Non-QM lending to her role at Angel Oak.

A graduate of Mississippi State University, Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Human Sciences with a major in Interior Architecture and a minor in Art. Over the past 22 years, she has built a successful career as a mortgage loan originator, specializing in helping self-employed borrowers navigate unique financing situations. Her experience spans every major lending channel, including wholesale, broker, retail, and correspondent, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of the mortgage industry and the diverse needs of originators and borrowers alike.

Lauren was drawn to Angel Oak because of the company’s commitment to challenging the status quo and providing thoughtfully designed niche loan products that serve borrowers who may not fit traditional lending guidelines. She is passionate about helping more people achieve homeownership and values the opportunity to offer solutions that bridge gaps in the marketplace.

What Lauren enjoys most about the mortgage industry is the ability to think creatively, solve complex lending scenarios, and make a meaningful impact in helping people achieve their homeownership goals. She works closely with originators to educate them on Non-QM lending opportunities, helping them differentiate themselves from competitors, expand their product offerings, and ultimately increase their production volume.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys boating, acting, grilling out, spending time with her daughter, practicing meditation, and reading self-improvement books.

Lauren understands how leveraging Non-QM lending can help originators grow their business and keep pipelines full. To learn more, visit our QuickQuote page and discover how Angel Oak can support your success
