Melissa Jones

Melissa Jones proudly serves mortgage professionals across MD, DC, and VA, bringing a unique blend of experience, energy, and relationship-building to the non-QM space.

With over a decade of experience in the mortgage and real estate industries, and three years focused on non-QM lending, Melissa’s journey has been anything but ordinary. She began her career in 2002 as a loan officer and quickly advanced to a wholesale subprime account executive before pivoting to a successful 14-year run as a private fitness trainer and yoga instructor. In 2021, she returned to real estate with renewed passion, and by 2022, she found her calling in non-QM lending.

Melissa was drawn to Angel Oak by its strong culture, supportive systems, and emphasis on face-to-face engagement. She thrives on helping originators grow through education, communication, and trust, always making herself available to find solutions and build lasting partnerships.

When she’s not working, Melissa enjoys weightlifting, HIIT workouts, home and truck projects, and spending time with her four beloved nieces.
