These alternative loan solutions are responsible and well performing loans that have made a difference to originators and borrowers alike.

Who are these underserved borrowers? Underserved borrowers in the mortgage industry that are part of our target market include self-employed and 1099 earners who can’t use tax returns to qualify for a home loan. As well, many people who are less than seven years out of foreclosure, short sale, bankruptcy, or deed-in-lieu are shut out of getting an Agency loan even if they can satisfy ability-to-repay (ATR) and meet credit requirements.
Our target market also includes real estate investors wanting to build their real estate portfolios. We close a large volume of loans for real estate investors through our Investor Cash Flow product that qualifies on the cash flow of the property. All of these consumers are underserved by mainstream lenders and brought to us by originators to help them obtain their home loan or financial goals.
Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions has built an entire company around meeting the needs of underserved borrowers. Records are set month over month and year over year in non-QM volume. Our Bank Statement product for self-employed borrowers is our most utilized loan product. That is because the demand in the market is so high for an alternative loan solution that does not require tax returns. Our Investor Cash Flow loan is also one of our most highly utilized loan products helping real estate investors who can’t qualify for a full doc Agency loan.
